County Medicare are able to support clients with a range of tasks and activities to help and encourage them to remain as independent as possible while remaining in their own home. If there is a task you require support with that is not detailed below, do not hesitate to call our friendly team.
Personal Care
County Medicare provides a person centred approach to each individual while promoting independence and maintaining dignity. We understand that everyone’s needs & preferences are different so our detailed care plans are tailored to meet your daily routine and lifestyles in the comfort of your own home.
Our Healthcare staff are highly trained in providing personal care including assisting with moving and positioning, we work along side many other healthcare professionals to give you the best support at home.
We are also trained to provide support with more clinical personal care activities such as catheter and stoma care, helping you to live your life at home.
Medication administration
All Healthcare Assistants at County Medicare are trained to be able to dispense and administer medications. County Medicare can support with ear, eye and nose drops, inhalers, cream ointments, patches and oxygen. Our Healthcare assistants are not able to support with medications administered via a needle however County Medicare will support each client to contact the local District Nursing team and work closely along side them to ensure these medications are delivered when required.
Shopping
County Medicare’s Healthcare assistants are able to support our clients with their shopping. This can be to support the client by attending the local supermarket with them or ordering on line at home. We can also attend the local supermarket on behalf of the client.
We also offer the support for clients to be able to shop for more specific items, for example, slippers, new clothing, kettle etc.
County Medicare can also support clients with meal prep to reduce wastage or if the client has a dietary requirement for example Diabetes. County Medicare will then continue to work with you to monitor any health conditions and record any improvements.
Cleaning
County Medicare are able to provide clients with domestic support around their homes. These domestics include-
- Fridge/ Freezer and white goods cleaning
- General cleaning duties, to include cleaning / dusting / vacuuming / polishing.
- Bed-making.
- Clearing refuse and rubbish.
- Laundry / Hand-washing / Ironing
- Washing floors
- Light gardening tasks (subject to previous agreement at the Care Plan stage).
Respite
County Medicare are able to offer respite care for clients and their family’s.
This can be for a short 24 hour period up to 4 weeks respite.
County Medicare works closely with the Healthcare assistants and clients can be reassured that the Healthcare assistants supporting them over their respite period will be the same old regular faces they are ust to.
Whilst your family are on respite, County Medicare will continue to support you with your normally daily routine and ensure the client feels supported and in good hands whilst their family are away.
County Medicare are also able to support with shorter respite sits, these can be for a few hours or so to enable family to attend appointments and take time for themselves knowing their loved one is in good hands and being cared for to highest standard.
